ABOUT

A Night With Legends is a charity dinner event to raise money to support Tackle Tomorrow’s impactful mission, improving early childhood literacy rates in underserved communities. Among the many guests will be some of the top legends of pro-football.

During this event, guests in attendance will have an opportunity to witness live interactions between NFL legends and hear incredible stories of their best memories and experiences throughout their careers. This year's dinner is hosted by "Voice of the Cowboys" Brad Sham, who will be moderating a panel discussion between Randy White, Eric Dickerson, Tony Hill, Tony Dorsett, Earl Campbell, Russell Maryland, Darren Woodson, & Tony Tolbert!

Proceeds raised will benefit students at Paul L. Dunbar Learning Center, HI Holland Elementary, Whitney M. Young Jr. Elementary,  Frederick Douglass Elementary, & RL Thornton Elementary.

FOUNDERS

CHARLES HALEY

As a five-time NFL Superbowl Champion, Charles Haley, a native of Virginia, uses his platform to motivate children to achieve academic excellence. In his early life, Charles did not see the value in education, so as a student, he, too, struggled with reading.

However, with motivation from his high school football coaches, Charles improved his academic performance and went off to attend James Madison University. While sports are a great outlet for children, he believes the real key to success is education.

“Education is so much power, but you have to unlock it, and the only way to unlock it is through reading and math.” – Charles Haley

BOB BOWIE

When asked why he co-founded Tackle Tomorrow, Bob gives a simple answer, “I don’t think we have a choice.” Bob is retired and has generously donated his time to various community organizations in Dallas for many years.

He has been on the board of directors for the Jubilee Center, the Salvation Army’s Cedar Crest Community Center, and the Town North YMCA. He and Charles share a passion for educating children. “If there’s no education, our future gets worse and worse,” he says. “That’s why we have to tackle tomorrow, today.” – Bob Bowie

HOST

BRAD SHAM

Brad Sham, also known as the "Voice of the Dallas Cowboys," has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 1976. He was hired to be their color analyst alongside play-by-play announcer Verne Lundquist.

Sham has also held the position as Sports Director at former Cowboys Radio network flagship station 1080 AM KLRD between 1976 and 1981. Sham became the lead play-by-play announcer in 1984, a position he has held since then.
